Deeply inspired by the UK jazz and hip hop scene, deeply insipired by the frenetic rhythmic of London, FloFilz’s third alum for Melting Pot Music follows the fundamental spirit of Metronom (2014, dedicated to Paris) and Cenário (2016, dedicated to Lisbon). Transit translates the current London vibe, portrayed by the producer’s very own style and touch, accompanied by fantastic contributions from Alfa Mist, Barney Artist, Biig Piig and K, Le Maestro.

In the past five years, the revival of the jazz movement had is epicenter in the city of London. In fact, the paradigm has changed. Today, jazz is not only about diggin' old records and learning about Charlie Parker or John Coltrane. Not that there isn’t value in that. Quite the opposite. But like FloFilz, most of us are being driven to a whole new world, inside that genre. The new jazz scene is happening also because it is deeply connected with more contemporary movements - like hip hop, neo-soul, afro-beat or electronic music. London was, obviously, the perfect setting for FloFilz, collecting flight miles through the Aachen-London connection, over the last 18 months. Transit gains another dimension. It is also a mesmerizing soundtrack for that story. A story which blends genres, creativity and talent.
