See this content in the original post

Keyboardist Joe Armon-Jones joins forces with vocalist Hak Baker and saxophonist Nubya Garcia for his latest EP, Wrong Side Of Town, released on Aquarii. This project marks the beginning of the label's exploration of dub music, a genre with deep Caribbean roots that continues to influence contemporary British sounds like jungle, grime, drum & bass or in some of the most influential jazz acts.

The EP embodies this lineage. The title track features Hak Baker, while "Nubya's Side Of Town" pays homage to the classic "horns cut" tradition of reggae's b-sides. Played by the acclaimed Nubya Garcia, this track found further recognition by the legendary Jah Shaka, a UK sound system pioneer, during one of his final sets before passing away in 2023. Wrong Side Of Town is a fresh take on a timeless sound, sure to resonate with dub enthusiasts and adventurous music lovers alike. Available on vinyl.
