Mambele is an up and coming producer hailing from Brussels, Belgium. His music crosses multiple boundaries, and in his latest EP, PROTON, he masters at delivering a diverse and energetic sound. Through five tracks Mambele brings rhythms from West Africa, from Brazil, lifts the curtain to jazz and hip hop and approaches while keeping in mind some D’Angelo-influenced melodies.

PROTON is filled with positive vibes and a kind of energetic peace that flows from track to track. After an intro that sets the session in, “Amor Fati” starts building up these feelings above. It’s hard not to vibe to this one… “Connections” comes right after, pulling down near a brazilian beach and progressing with a mesmerizing easiness. It’s followed by the fat basses of “Vibrations”, reminiscing on some J-Dilla/Aquarians vibes. “The Outro” finishes the record as a meditative lullaby, breathing slowly and in peace. Released by Bolingo, PROTON is available via Bancamp.
