dego & the 2000black family: ep iv

See this content in the original post

It’s always a big moment for us when dego & The 2000Black Family releases a record through the one and only Verona-based Neroli imprint. Following Find A Way (2013), Don’t Stop (Let It Go) (2015) and The Way It Should Be (2017), the legendary work of dego sees another of its chapters. EP IV is the fourth installment of this unmissable series, reaffirming that dego and his 2000 Black crew are truly on a league of their own.

EP IV is available only on vinyl (apologies if the samples above are just a tease), persevering the truly exclusive and special nature of the sounds composed by dego. On this project he is helped by Mr. Mensah on production duties, by Noreen Stewart on the vocals and by the magic musicianship of Kaidi Tatham on the flute. While the opener “Make The Right Move” has all the right ingredients to follow the path of modern classics such as “Find A Way” or “Don’t Stop (Let It Go)”, the flipside offers some extra groove and funkiness with “The Stakeout” and the boogie cut “Jam Number Six”, closing the EP and leaving you wanting for more… Courtesy of Neroli, only on vinyl.
