I was really happy when, during last week, I saw an email subject that always brings good things: New release from SaiR. The solo project of composer and multi-instrumentalist Ruben Allen gives life to another cool work titled Visions EP, following a series of releases that set up a strong discography for the Portuguese artist - exploring, experimenting and blending an infinity of elements from the fields of jazz, funk and electronic music.

Visions EP is comprised by two original works: “What Does It Say About You” and “After All”, which expand SaiR’s rich musical output, this time exploring in more depth soulful textures and vocal elements in his work. These are complemented by two remixes from two big names in the Portuguese music scene: Armando Teixeira and Mirror People (real name Rui Maia), that contribute with some really nice perspectives on the original work, maybe outlining some of its most interesting features. Available on Bandcamp, this is another super nice EP from SaiR.
