The first post of 2024 highlights one of the best compilations from last year, released in the final days of 2023. The Future Sound Of Jazzy Vol.1 recaps some of the brilliant works released by the one and only Apparel Music, comprising 9 tracks which have as a common trait a jazzy sound, the first main feature of the label since its birth in 2010.
The task of looking through the Italian imprint numerous catalogues must’ve been a hard one. This magnificent work focus on dimes of past and recent releases, resurfacing tracks from Ekkohaus (featuring Oneboy), Echonomist (remixed by Ali Kuru), Cella (remixed by Franklin De Costa), label-head Kisk (remixed by Kjofol Ritornello, Lopazz & Zarook, Francesco Zani (dubbed by Moodymanc and featuring Steve Parry), Barrio Weedwagon, KX9000 and Modulearth (remixed by SCHiLLiNG). All in all, Future Sounds of Jazzy Vol. 1 (referencing the legendary Future Sounds Of Jazz series by Compost Records?) is a delightful compilation to warm up for what is coming up this year.
