As you know, O Sótão’s focus is mainly on new independent artists. That work is our core: find, vibe and promote them. But we can’t look away to some of the most respected and influential producers and composers of the genres we tend to rotate on. Andrés is one of these guys. His legendary discography precedes him, but it doesn’t take his drive to push forward and produce new things. He now returns to MotorCity Wine Recordings with an anthemic 4 tracker entitled Sunday Kinda Love. Taking in the spirit of the label’s sunday parties, Andrés highlights this with super groovy vibes to take us into a sunny side of real deep house music.
The A side of Sunday Kinda Love showcases Andrés’s dusty house sound that we’ve all come to love, complete with bouncing basslines, slick vocal chops, and drums to turn out any dance floor. On the flip side, he slows the tempo just a touch to highlight his chunky midtempo beatdown sounds, with “Rubin Samba” bringing a Latin flair and “Sunday Kinda Love” driving it all home.
