It’s time. Angles Morts is an exciting new band hailing from the vibrant jazz scene in Marseille, that just released their debut and self-titled EP. The quartet emerges as a breath of fresh air in the French broken beat and jazz music landscape, once again jumping from the Dope Tones Records platform. The Angles Morts project was born in the summer of 2020 when its four members, driven by their shared passion for fusing the magnetic sound of 70s jazz fusion with the electronic vibes of early 2000s British music, decided to unite their talents.
The eponymous Angles Morts EP follows their A+D single release, that had some high class remixes by Pablo Valentino and Attica One. Comprised by 5 tracks, exploring the realms of house, broken beat and jungle music, the band present a vibrant contemporary jazz piece. A high speed car-ride through the night lights of the city blurring the boundaries between different musical eras and genres. This release is an invitation to join Angles Morts on their exhilarating musical voyage as they create fresh and invigorating jazz soundscapes. Available on Bandcamp.
