Yemayá is an undeniably intimate musical voyage. Dom Bird’s first solo EP is released by the label and radio show he co-founded, all the way from Brisbane, Australia. Written and recorded over one studio session, Yemayá ("mother whose children are fish”) draws inspiration from Afro-Latin culture, with trippy synth chords and pumping bongos.
Dom Bird’s solo escapade, blends sounds derived from a synthesizer, guitar and drum machine with samples taken from a recording session with percussionist, Gus Cereijo.
