Colombian DJ and Producer, and Nomada Records co-founder, Ivan Lozano (a.k.a. Joint4Nine) presents his P-Connection EP, deeply connected to the artists who inspired him. Released by Apparel Music, this is the 13th record coming out of the APDEXTRA catalogue - P-Connection is a 5-tracker that showcases the producer’s versatility, navigating with ease through different approaches within his funky deep house canvas.
The record is laced with musicality since the very beginning - the intro “N21” and “It’s All About U” come with a compulsive groove complemented with great vocal samples. In “It's Gone (Get Over It)” Joint4Nine increases the pace with a proper dancefloor hit, while “P-Connection” slows the tempo down offering other perspectives, but keeping intact the sound principles that drive the record. “Tribute” includes many sampled quotes from some great musicians and producers in a Moodymann-esque type of collage, subsequently evolving into a hip hop beat. P-Connection is one of the best EP’s from the end of 2020 and is available via Apparel Music.
