Joint4Nine has been shinning over us in the past few years. It’s one of those recurrent names we always relate to great experimental house music. The moniker of Ivan Lozano (producer, DJ and co-founder of Nòmada Records) has been cutting various high-karat releases via Ondulé Recordings, Sengiley Recordings, Apparel Music, Broken District and more, joining now the up and coming Russian GLBDOM with a 5-track trip entitled Without U. He is preparing the release of more projects during this year so keep your eyes peeled and your ears prepared for what is coming.
For this EP Joint4Nine combines a variety of genres such as hip hop, soul music, disco, broken beat, jazz or house. Without U doesn’t have a clear shape as it’s very easy to understand the free-creation-mentality behind the producer’s output. Lozano picks up the right influences, the right moods and expresses his hunger for dance music. Available via Bandcamp, Without U will not leave you indifferent and is another statement in Joint4Nine’s exciting discography.
