Nérija are a collective of London based musicians playing exciting and original music, inspired by Jazz, Hip Hop, Afrobeat and South African Township. Featuring a brilliant seven-piece ensemble - composed by Nubya Garcia (tenor saxophone), Sheila Maurice-Grey (trumpet), Cassie Kinoshi (alto saxophone), Rosie Turton (trombone), Shirley Tetteh (guitar), Lizy Exell (drums) and Rio Kai (bass) - Nérija’s first LP Blume is a truly breath-taking collection of compositions that perfectly encapsulates their collective spirit.
