We’ve been sleeping on Rhys Langston. Hailing from Los Angeles, he’s a multi-disciplinary artist and performer that finally entered our radar with his latest EP, the T.C. Wash Suite - a litmus of self-sufficiency in reflection and internal investigative reports, inside five tracks.
Beyond his album from 2017, Agressively Ethnically Ambiguous, he has a number of EP’s and small releases that we are discovering step by step. Song by song, getting into his Langstónian eccentrity. the T.C. Wash Suite finds two songs, in sung themes of acceptant (and sometimes reluctant) growth, ending with 3 rapped exercises.
