Again we welcome the Russian imprint Sengiley Recordings to our space. Following countless high-karat releases over the past few years, introducing works from up and coming producers like 2XM, Joint4Nine, Maison Blanche or César Martínez, they keep up with their vinyl-only series. The beginning of the year brought us SNGWAX 01 and now we present SNGWAX 02 - a deep cut of house music, containing six tracks produced by Jon Gravy, Max Telaer, Marc Brauner, Manuold, THEOS and HATT.D.
Jon Gravy kicks things off with a jackin’ house groover filled with shades of vintage house, all underscored by an insatiable bassline that’ll get any dancefloor moving. On the A2, “Out Of The Circle” by Max Telaer is a bouncing deep house tune awash with sublime, chime laden pads, a stomping beat and a snare drum that just won’t quit. Marc Brauner follows with “You Name It”, an exquisite slice of deep, soulful house that brings the A side of VA SNGWAX 02 to a seamless conclusion.
Flipping over to the B side, Manuold brings us “Sound Light”, a synth-packed track with an uplifting vibe and a beat that will impose restrictions on leaving the dancefloor. The almighty THEOS is up next on the B2, with the aptly titled “Rhodes Trip” - built with lashings of electric piano, a pulsing bassline and a wonderful vocal refrain. Last but not least is HATT.D with “Transcending”, a gorgeous and subtly progressive melodic number: the perfect closing track for this exceptional release. SNGWAX 02 is only available on vinyl, keeping the trajectory of Sengiley Recordings towards greater recognition.
