Four and half years after his debut on Cosmic Rhythm, the Italian producer Spiritual Emphasi is back with another tasty deep house EP that is marking this beginning of 2022. Feel The Magic is one of those records that has captured and has taken us from the first moment we pressed play. Spiritual Emphasi is one of the monikers of Davide Disanto (also known as St. David, for example), channeling a love for the old textures of deep house music, so real and so honest that is impossible not to imagine a contemplative dancefloor feeling his music deep within.
Kicking off with the title track, Feel The Magic unveils a masterful percussion work, bouncy basslines and atmospheric melodies. With the theme of the EP laid out, Spiritual Emphasi connection to this sound feels very strong. ”Atmosphera” is a warm and anthemic track, provoking a honest emotion in us. Turning to the B-Side we get in touch with a jazzier side of the concept developed on the record. Never turning its back on classic progressions o house music, the Italian producer is capable of reinventing genre’s textures and deliver two magnificent examples on “Ethernity “ and “Jazz Excursion”. All in all this a fantastic EP (just another one released by Comic Rhythm that just dropped the amazing Who Is Who In The Underground? by Rydm Sectors), available in vinyl for the collectors.
