Steady Weather, comprised by the extensive musical abilities of Ben Grayson and Tamil Rogeon, is about to drop their debut project - a self-titled EP of six tracks indebted to the melting pot of genre crossroads developed by the unique Australian and New Zealand neo soul & jazz community. With a lineage that leads directly to the founding of groups like Australian funk royalty The Bamboos and orchestral beat music pioneers The Raah Project, Rogeon and Grayson not only bring that heritage to their music, they bring a philosophy of raw emotion and soulfulness to their productions.
Following on Son Of Nyx, Tamil Rogeon’s critically acclaimed recent album, Steady Weather traverses through diverse musical territory and melds together a number of sounds. These diverse influences are tied up together with a consistently organic, hand-made, and earnest production style that sit well right at home on the most soulful of dancefloors. Released by Darker Than Wax, Steady Weather infinite musicality is complemented by gloriously meditative, raw soul vocals of Allysha Joy and Rita Satch in three of the tracks.
