Hailing from Berlin, Yoofee has racked up a string of releases over the past five years on labels including Unchained Recordings, Albion Collective, Indigo Movement and Infernal Sounds, operating mostly at the deeper end of the dubstep spectrum. He now joins the Casablanca-based Moroccan label Casa Voyager to present an EP that is making us bounce back & forth in style.
Lost Papers EP sees his skills as an accomplished jazz pianist coming forward wrapped by energetic and syncopated beats. We hear intricate, stuttering beats; haunting, fragile female vox; and, as befits his background in dubstep, lashings of phat, squelchy analogue bass textures. This is one for the sensitive souls and sophisticated groove lovers. Available on vinyl, via Casa Voyager.
