A Rhythm Section de Londres apresenta Neue Grafik e "Innervision", uma peça de música eletrónica elaborada com mestria. Inspirado na capital britânica, consegue ir tocar nas homenagens à cena de house parisiense, onde está baseado. Empregando muita instrumentação ao vivo os samples escolhidos são subtis.
O EP começa com o single de lançamento - "Innervision". Wayne Snow participa com a sua mangnífica voz. Em crescendo, é uma faixa que chega fundo. O vídeo segue aqui em baixo.
E o resto deste "Innervision" toca sem esforço. Em "Peckham Rye" sentimos a cidade em movimento rotineiro sem precisar de a observar. De headphones no metro ou no bus... sublime. E é nessa em que está o core deste trabalho. Música urbana, que apesar de movimentada, consegue reduzir a tensão diária. O privilégio de poder escutar pedaços deste género, nunca terá preço no sótão.
O homónimo LP do génio turco Kerem Akdag cheira a novo nas prateleiras. Sucedendo a outros projetos de qualidade - "Expressive" (2015) e "Loungin'" (2016) - "Kerem Akdag" chega-nos por via da londrina editora Dimensions Recordings e é a primeira longa metragem do artista. Neste álbum de estreia Kerem entrega um trabalho maduro que brilhará no escuro das pistas de dança e nas rotinas caseiras. Com ideias, hooks e oito músicas para disfrutar.
Ao longo das oito, Kerem Akdag demonstra as suas habilidades e ecléticas influências sonoras. A guitarra que inicia “When I Think Of You” é o ponto de partida para algo exótico, com o jazz e a música eletrónica de mão dada. Do mais alto quilate, "Kerem Akdag". Só escutando.
A saxofonista, compositora e bandleader Nubya Garcia está de volta com o capítulo seguinte da sua viagem musical. "When We Are" conta com dois originais e mais duas mix's a cargo dos finissímos produtores K15 e Maxwell Owin. Depois de "Nubya's 5ive" e de inúmeras excelentes colaborações em outros projetos, no novo EP escutamos Garcia a dar passos seguros dentro de territórios experimentais de música eletrónica.
"When We Are" conta com as fabulosas teclas de Joe Armon-Jones e o virtuoso Femi Koleoso na bateria. O subtil baixo está a cargo de Daniel Casimir. Os três complementam a personagem principal. No seu saxofone, Garcia comanda as emoções... Uma verdadeira dream-team oriunda da capital Londres. Capital da cena jazz mundial.
O lado B traz os remixes que abrem a porta a novas possibilidades sonoras para as duas composições. Abrem-lhes também a porta das mais edificantes pistas de dança londrinas.
