O final do ano traz uma das maiores surpresas da música brasileira dos últimos tempos. Fabriccio lança "Jungle" e desponta como uma das promessas da black music do universo da língua portuguesa. A First Word Records estará concerteza cheia de orgulho em apresentar "The Story So Far...". Diretamente de cena musical de Manchester, os Children of Zeus regressam ao Sótão com um EP de qualidade nas ondas do hip hop e da soul music.
Os Children of Zeus iniciaram finalmente o processo de criar um álbum. Este EP é a compilação do que foi produzido por Konny Kon e Tyler Daley durante a última década, que os fez ganhar uma base de seguidores e que introduz o que se segue para quem ainda não os conhece. Contém novas faixas - muita onda em "Smoke With Me", poder em "Crown". As fan-favorites, como "Still Standing" e "No Strings Attached" seguem junto. Tudo compilado numa colecção de música hip hop e soul repleta de pureza.
O primeiro álbum, com novas, cairá algures por 2018.
Esta colecção é o fim do primeiro capítulo. É o prólogo.

O final do video clip de "Scared Money" é fascínio puro. Um court de basquetebol à beira-mar e o céu completamente azul. Paak e Knxwledge posam sem consideração pelos demais mortais.
Desde o momento em que vi esse snippet que espero por este remix. E hoje chegou, com a confirmação de que os NxWorries vão seguir a elevar a barra nos próximos tempos. Um álbum completo de reintrepretações do fantástico "Yes Lawd!" está para breve.
"Rains Clear" de MANIKMC cresce à medida que os instrumentos vão entrando em cena... Primeiro, e com sotaque carregado, a voz; depois, no hook, vibram as paredes assim que o baixo entra. Fluidez. "Because that's the mantra that we live by, yeah... and that's energy that leaves us".
JGrrey vive também sob esse mantra de fluidez. Tem lugar aqui, via COLORS BERLIN. A produção soa como uma mistura de cartoon com r&b moderno. A letra fala de cores. "Blue and silver and pink, red are all the things we've said, and I'll die tonight in colors". Grey can't fade.

Durante mais de uma década, o produtor e multi-intrumentalista Terrace Martin foi a ligação do jazz da costa oeste americana com o seu hip hop. O "missing link" entre artistas como Kendrick Lamar (para quem trabalhou em inúmeras músicas) e Snoop Dogg com outros como Robert Glasper. "The Sounds of Crenshaw Vol. 1" é nos introduzido por ele. E traz uma das faixas do momento.
"Intentions" é a perfeição de um churrasco ou de uma festa. É um hit com força, impossível de não disfrutar. Chachi faz o seu rap com uma suavidade e uma onda difícil de bater. O vídeo é a representação de tudo isto.
